Congolese President’s visit to Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Saturday his Congolese counterpart Joseph Kabila upon arrival at the presidential palace in Cairo.
Kabila had a red-carpet reception at the presidency headquarters in Heliopolis where he was received by Sisi.
The national anthems of both countries were played.
President Sisi held a session of bilateral talks with President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Joseph Kabila, which was followed by plenary talks between the delegations of the two countries.
The talks took up enhancing ties between the two countries in various fields as well as some African and regional issues.
President Sisi and his counterpart asserted the importance of promoting bilateral relations in all fields particularly the domains of economy, trade and investments.
Both countries seek to achieve economic development based on material and human capabilities they have, Sisi told a joint news conference with Kabila at the presidential palace in Cairo following a session of talks.
