The Interior Ministry said that a leader of Hasm terrorist group was killed in fire exchange in 6th of October city.

Intelligence pointed out that leaders in Hasm group were planning to hold a meeting in Oases Road in the 6th of October city. Searching the area, two suspected cars were observed and while the security forces approached the cars for verification, their passengers started shooting against the troops.

The shootout resulted in killing one person in a car while the other people ran away with the second car, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The killed Hasm member was wanted by the security apparatus for being involved in a security case.
