The Supermoon Phenomenon
Wednesday، 23 August 2017 - 03:49 PM
On Monday 14th November 2017, the full moon came closer to the Earth than any other time since 1948. The phenomenon, known as a “supermoon,” allowed the moon to appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than usual.
The supermoon phenomenon occurs because the moon follows an elliptical orbit around the Earth.
Those who missed out the phenomenon won’t be able to see the moon this close again until 2034.
