Sisi meets with his Cote d'Ivoirian counterpart on sidelines of Africa 2017 forum

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Friday 08/12/2017 with his Cote d'Ivoirian counterpart Alassane Ouattara on the sidelines of Africa 2017 forum held in Sharm El Sheikh.

Sisi praised Ouattara's participation in the fourm, underlining distinguished ties between the two countries, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

Sisi underlined Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation with Cote d’Ivoire in various fields, Radi said.

The President expressed Egypt's eagerness to promote consultation and coordination with Cote d’Ivoire over the different issues of common concern.

President Sisi congratulated Ouattara on his country's membership in the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member starting from January 2018, wishing success to Cote d’Ivoire during its representation of the African continent.

Meanwhile, Ouattara commended the active role played by Egypt in the African continent, praising Egypt for hosting the forum, Radi explained.

Ouattara also pointed out to the deep-rooted relations between the countries, expressing his country's keenness on strengthening cooperation with Egypt in the different fields.
