President Sisi's Gulf tour (Oman, UAE)

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi begins a Gulf tour on Sunday 4/2/2018, including Sultanate of Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The tour begins with a three-day official visit to the Sultanate of Oman where he will meet with Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said and other senior officials.
This is Sisi's first visit to Oman since assuming office.
The two presidents will discuss ways to boost cooperation between the two countries in various fields, as well as the latest developments of Arab, regional and international issues of common interest.
The visit comes in light of Sisi's keenness to boost and support deeply-rooted and brotherly relations between the Egyptian and Omani peoples, in addition to enhancing consultation and coordination between both nations concerning various bilateral and regional issues.
After his visit to Oman, President Sisi will visit the UAE and confer with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields and consultation on the latest developments on the Arab, regional and international issues.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived in Muscat, Oman where Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman welcomed President Sisi at the entrance of the Al Alam Palace.
The two leaders rode a vehicle that took them to the Palace where an official protocol reception ceremony was held.
President Sisi shook hands with senior Omani statesmen and officials and Sultan Qaboos greeted the Egyptian ministerial delegation accompanying President Sisi.
President Sisi held talks with Sultan Qaboos of Oman upon arrival in Muscat.
During his talks with Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, President Sisi said Egypt is looking forward to fostering bilateral cooperation with Oman in the different fields in a way that serves the two countries’ interests.
President Sisi expressed his appreciation of the Omani stances towards Egypt and its people.

Omani Sultan Qaboos Bin Said hosted a dinner banquet in honor of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his accompanying delegation. Before the banquet, Sultan Qaboos exchanged souvenirs with President Sisi.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat. The newly built Grand Mosque was inaugurated by Sultan of Oman on May 4, 2001.
President Sisi expressed his admiration of Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, saying it is an "outstanding example" of Islamic architecture.
Writing in the guest book following a tour of the site, Sisi said that the mosque plays a pivotal role in boosting Islamic studies.

President Sisi visited Sultan's Armed Forces Museum and Royal Opera House in Muscat.
Sisi also lauded the leading role of the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) which is being described as Oman's premier venue for musical arts and culture.
The ROHM epitomizes an inspiring cultural and artistic image that reflects the Omani people's culture and love of arts, the President said.
Sisi expressed his admiration of the unique architecture of Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the ROHM and Sultan's Armed Forces Museum in Muscat.

President Sisi received at his residence Omani Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Fahd Bin Mahmud Al Said at Al Alam Palace.

Sisi expressed his appreciation of the Omani stances towards Egypt, stressing that progress and development he witnessed during his current visit to Oman have been achieved thanks to the wise leadership of Sultan Qaboos.
The President has reviewed measures that have been undertaken by Egypt to provide an attractive investment climate, referring to the ongoing implementation of national projects aimed to offer promising and diversified investment opportunities in various sectors.
For his part, Omani Prime Minister expressed his country's appreciation of Sisi's visit, voicing Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed's keenness on boosting cooperation with Egypt which is considered a pillar of security and stability in the Arab world.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, currently in Muscat, had talks on Tuesday with a number of Omani businessmen on means of fostering trade and economic cooperation.
The meeting grouped over 40 businessmen interested in investing in Egypt in the fields of construction, industry, petroleum, marble, media, airports and renewable energy.
The talks also tackled preparations for an economic conference in Muscat with the participation of businessmen from both countries.
The Egyptian ministers of industry and finance are scheduled to attend the get-together.Egypt and Oman are gearing up for signing an avoidance of dual taxation agreement during the coming joint ministerial meeting.

The president headed to the VIP Lounge where he was greeted by UAE ministers and other top officials .

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said Gulf security is an indivisible part of the Egyptian national security. The President gave this remark during his meeting in Abu Dhabi Tuesday with Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed latest regional developments, and political files of common interest to both countries .
The two sides expressed identical views on the importance of decisively confronting terrorism and radical thoughts and the need to enhance join Arab action in order to combat this evil which has turned into danger which is threatening security and stability of the whole region .
The two sides addressed the need to draw up a comprehensive strategy for preventing terrorist organizations from getting arms, money and fighters, political cover and media forums .
The two sides expressed their support for the Arab countries’ sovereignty, calling for preserving their unity, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement .
The talks focused on means of boosting bilateral ties in various fields, in line with the Egypt-UAE fruitful cooperation, the spokesman added .
Meanwhile, the two sides expressed their keenness to continue coordination and consultation between them on one side and the Arab countries on the other side .
The aim of this cooperation is to confront challenges facing the Arab region as well as the foreign interference in Arab internal affairs in a way that undermines the Arab countries’ security and stability .
