NEA: We did not issue decision extending voting days of presidential election

Spokesman for the National Election Authority (NEA) Counselor Mahmoud el Sherif on Tuesday 27/3/2018 described as baseless the reports circulated about a decision issued by the NEA to extend voting days till Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, Sherif said the relevant law stipulates that the voting has to be conducted for one or more days as set by the NEA, being the body that is fully responsible for running and supervising the electoral process.
In this regard, he said the NEA has set three days for the electoral process.
The NEA has not yet issued any decisions with regard to extending voting days in the presidential election, he stressed.
