Saturday، 29 September 2018 - 05:39 PM

Egypt has stopped importing liquefied gas from abroad, Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla announced on Saturday 29/09/2018.
The Minister pointed out that the last shipment of imported liquefied gas arrived in Egypt last week.
Egypt has achieved self-sufficiency of gas due to the production of Zohr gas field which has steadily increased six times since January, Mulla said in a statement.
The daily output of Zohr gas field increased from 350 million cubic feet to two billion, bringing Egypt's overall gas production to six billion cubic feet per day, Mulla added.
Achieving self-sufficiency in gas contributes to securing gas supply for all the consuming economic sectors, including electricity, industry, houses and other fields, he added.
