SIS book: Sisi seeks stabilizing pillars of State

The State Information Service (SIS) indicated that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's awareness of the importance of stabilizing the pillars of the State and preserving its institutions led him to give first priority to achieving this strategic goal since he came to power in 2014 .
A book that has been recently published by the SIS indicated that this awareness emanated from the fact that the strong and coherent national State is the viable guarantee for steering away from challenges sweeping other countries in the Middle East region .
These challenges have threatened several regional countries at the political, economic and security levels, added the publication .
The President kept in mind since he came to power preserving the national State and stabilizing its pillars and institutions, added the book .
The policy that is adopted by president Sisi confirmed the fact that Egypt's international relations are based on mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of others, according to the SIS book .
This policy also highlighted the importance of the role of religious institutions, especially Al Azhar and the Coptic Church, for preserving the Egyptian State and introducing intellectual reform, added the book .
The policy also showed keenness on fighting corruption through security measures and introducing new laws that rectify the performance of departments and agencies that are fighting corruption .
The Egyptian State, during the era of president Sisi, launched several mega national projects such as the New Suez Canal and the reclamation of one million feddans along with upgrading the national roads network, added the book .
Power projects were not an exception as the Egyptian State have launched several power projects which added up to 25,000 megawatt of conventional and renewable energy to the national power grid until June 2018, added the book .
The policy of president Sisi focused on the major role of the Armed Forces in the sustainable economic development process in Egypt through the participation of the army in several mega national projects .
Also, the social dimension of this policy was clear as the president sought to ease up economic burdens suffered by the low-income segments of the society .
Within the framework of this policy, Egypt was also keen on contributing to regional and international efforts for fighting terrorism, added the book.
