Egypt, Greece, Cyprus Summit

The 6th trilateral Summit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades has kicked off on Wednesday 10/10/2018, since launching the tripartite cooperation mechanism in November, 2014.

The summit talks focus on means of fostering relations in all fields and tackle a number of issues of common concern.

Upon his arrival in Crete, President Sisi held bilateral talks with the Greek Prime Minister on means to promote bilateral relations in various domains.

Following the summit, the three leaders attend the signing ceremonies of several agreements and memorandums of understanding.

At the conclusion of the summit, a press conference convenes to announce the outcome of the talks.

President Abdel Fatah El Sisi arrived to attend the sixth round of the tripartite summit between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had talks in Crete with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras ahead of an Egyptian-Greek-Cypriot summit due to be held in Crete later in the day. Talks between the two sides dealt with a number of regional and international issues that of common concern as ,the efforts to combat terrorism, illegal immigration, the latest developments in the region, as well as efforts to revive the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held talks with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades on the sidelines of a tripartite summit grouping also Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. The talks between the two presidents took up bilateral relations which have been significantly growing over the past few years. They discussed means of pushing up joint economic and commercial cooperation along with regional files of common concern.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in the fields of industry, trade and education. More


In a joint press conference, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that a summit meeting with the Greek and Cypriot leaders, that was held here earlier in the day, constitutes a shield in the face of growing challenges atop of which comes the spreading terrorism and extremism. More
