Sisi discusses mutual regional and international issues with German FM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received at his residence on Wednesday 31/10/2018 Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Heiko Maas.

They exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and the latest developments in the Arab region, in addition to boosting relations between Egypt and Germany.

President Sisi asserted Egypt's keenness on continued coordination and consultation with Germany to reach closer views regarding issues of mutual concern.

President Sisi expressed his views regarding the latest regional developments, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

The Egyptian leader asserted Egypt's appreciation of its relations with Germany and praised the distinguished level of relations between Egypt and Germany, referring to the recent cooperation and keenness on making use of German expertise, he said.

President Sisi underlined the need to push forward the Palestinian-Israeli peace process and to reach just and comprehensive peace that ends the conflict entirely and opens the door for the aspired economic and social development, he said.

The German minister underlined Germany's keenness to promote cooperation with Egypt and upgrade coordination and consultations particularly that Egypt is the key partner of Germany and plays a pivotal role in the Middle East and Africa.

Germany is keen on intensifying cooperation with Egypt and encouraging more German companies to carry out investments in Egypt given the distinguished experiments of German companies in the Egyptian market and the promising opportunities for business success, he added.
