Sisi, Austrian Chancellor witness signing of MoUs

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz witnessed on Monday 17/12/2018 the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements between Egypt and Austria following a session of talks attended by both delegations.

The first memorandum for investment was signed by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr Sahar Nasr and Austrian Minister of Finance Hartwig Löger.

They also signed another memo on cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship and small investors and a third on cooperation in promoting free zones.

Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Austrian Minister of Education, Science and Research Heinz Fassmann signed a memo in the field of higher education and scientific research.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and the Austrian secretary general for innovation and technology signed a memo on cooperation in the technology and innovation field.

Egypt and Austria also signed a memo on cooperation in the railways and infrastructure domains.

Abdel Ghaffar and his Austrian counterpart signed a memo between Sinai University in the New Administrative Capital and the Austrian MODUL University and another cooperation memo between the Medical University of Vienna and Nahda University in Beni Sueif.
