King Salman describes Egypt as 2nd homeland, hails Sisi's achievements

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud stressed on Saturday 23/2/2019 the importance of maintaining strong ties with Egypt, hailing its regional role.
Salman was speaking during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli at the king's residential place in Sharm El Sheikh ahead of his participation in the EU-AL Summit, set to be held on Sunday.
"Egypt is my second homeland. I am proud of what had been achieved under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi," King Salman stated.
He expressed his happiness for the development of bilateral relations, affirming his country's keenness on promoting cooperation between the two countries in a fruitful manner for all the Arab and Islamic worlds.
Riyadh strongly and firmly condemns the terror attacks which occurred in Cairo lately, the king asserted, noting that the kingdom spares no effort to back Egypt in its fight against terrorism.
During the meeting, he hailed the role played by Egyptian expatriates in Saudi Arabia in various domains, pointing to the need for increasing the mutual visits between officials of the two countries.
Madbouli, for his part, welcomed the Saudi king, hailing historic relations binding Cairo and Riyadh.
He also pointed to aspects of bilateral cooperation, topped by establishing King Salman University in Sinai.
