Sisi lauds strong relations with Oman

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has said that Egypt is looking forward to boosting relations with Oman in all fields.

Meeting with Omani deputy prime minister Assad bin Tareq al Saeid on the sidelines of the Arab-European summit in Sharm el Sheikh earlier on Sunday 24/2/2019, Sisi hailed as wise Omani policies under the rule of Sultan Qaboos.

He praised strong ties between Cairo and Muscat.

The meeting took up a number of regional and international files, atop of which the Palestinian cause, said presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.

The two sides exchanged views on Middle East developments, with focus on the crises in Syria and Yemen, Radi added.

Sisi and al Saeid agreed on the importance of intensifying efforts to end the stalemate in the Middle East peace process in a way that would guarantee the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, the spokesman noted.

Sisi asked al Saeid to convey his best regards to Sultan Qaboos.

The Omani deputy premier greatly appreciated relations with Cairo, expressing keenness on further boosting bilateral cooperation at all levels.
