Egypt committed to furthering cooperation Kenya - Sisi

Egypt is keen on maximizing the benefits of coordination and consultation with Kenya, and its leader in person, under Egypt's chairmanship of the African Union (AU), President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Sunday 3/3/2019.
The president gave his remarks during his meeting with a Kenyan delegation led by Kenya's Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma.
The delegation included the attorney general as well as the director of the National Intelligence Service in Kenya.
Welcoming the delegation members, the president conveyed his greetings to Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Sisi stressed Egypt's keen interest on promoting bilateral relations between the sisterly African countries in various fields.
For her part, Juma praised the success of the last African summit in Addis Ababa, which was held under President Sisi, adding that it reflects Egypt pivotal role within the African Union.
The meeting took up several regional issues of mutual concern, the latest developments in the Horn of Africa and means of bolstering mutual cooperation to combat terrorism and extremism, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Director of the General Intelligence Abbas Kamel attended the meeting.
