Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Friday 03/05/2019 said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is keen on providing all forms of support to Lebanon.
Addressing a joint news conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad el Hariri in Beirut, Madbouli expressed his confidence that Beirut is capable of overcoming difficulties.
The Egyptian premier is leading a high-profile delegation to Lebanon on a three-day visit to the Arab country.
Madbouli hailed the historical relations with Lebanon at various levels.
The Prime Minister conveyed President Sisi's greetings to the Lebanese people and president, asserting Egypt's support to Lebanon.
The coming phase will witness more cooperation between Cairo and Beirut in light of full compatibility between the political leaderships of the two states, Madbouli said.
Egypt encourages the idea of establishing joint firms for investment in Cairo and Beirut or even in African countries in light of features enjoyed by the private sectors of the two countries, he said.
Cairo trusts that the government in Beirut would overcome any obstacles especially in the fields of economy and infrastructure, he added.
Hariri, for his part, said his country is working on benefiting from Egypt's expertise in developing its economy.
"I has benefited from the expertise of Madbouli and Egypt in making difficult reform decisions," Hariri noted.
The Egyptian and Lebanese sides agreed on removing all hinders and suspended files, he added.
They agreed also on solving problems related to registering the Lebanese factories in Egypt.
