Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Mohab Memish has lauded the key role played by the Maritime Training and Simulation Center to qualify the SCA staff and develop scientific research.

In a statement released on Thursday, Mamish added that the SCA pays great attention to modernizing the simulation center, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the authority personnel and honing their skills.

He noted that the center was recognized as an advisory body by international shipping companies, given its key role in enriching the scientific research required for mega projects being carried out along the canal, most notably the five floating bridges opened by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Those projects are meant to link the Suez Canal with the New Suez Canal and serve promising development projects in the Suez Canal area.

For his part, Amr Fayez, the center's head said they draw up a plan, which includes several training activities and courses for qualifying the SCA pilots.
