WE & ACUD sign a deal to set up New Capital IT networks

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli witnessed Wednesday 11/9/2019 the inking of an agreement to provide the New Administrative Capital with communication, security and smart services networks.
The deal was signed between Telecom Egypt (WE) and Administrative Capital For Urban Development (ACUD).
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat attended the inking ceremony.
The move comes in line with a strategy adopted by the ACUD to provide supply the New Administrative Capital with the latest full-service smart city management technologies, ACUD Chairman Ahmed Zaki Abdeen said.
Under the signed deal, WE will be responsible for establishing, operating, managing, leasing and maintaining the services networks in the New Capital.
It will also provide all infrastructure required for this purpose and connect these networks with the company's general network.
The company will forthwith start working on the project's first phase, which includes the Government District at the New Capital, at an estimated investment cost of EGP 40 billion, Talaat said.
