Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang expressed his appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping on China's National Day.

Addressing a celebration to mark the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China on Tuesday 1/10/2019, the diplomat expressed his appreciation of the dispatch of the president's envoy to the Chinese embassy to greet them on the occasion.

He further stressed that a comprehensive strategic partnership with Egypt will be developed in the future, calling for exchanging more visits between the Egyptian and Chinese peoples.

He added that more than 2,000 Egyptian students are studying in Chinese universities.

On Tuesday, a number of ministers attended a celebration held by China's Huawei Technologies Company in Egypt's Smart Village to celebrate the dispatch of 12,000 Egyptian students to China to complete their studies.
