Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has reiterated Egypt's keenness on developing economic cooperation with the German business community.
The president made the remarks Wednesday during a meeting with heads of German giants and trade unions in the presence of German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier.
President Sisi praised positive developments witnessed by economic relations between the two countries in the past few years, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Sisi also spoke of mega national projects in Egypt, such as the Suez Canal axis development project, calling on German investors to make use of investment opportunities available.
He also stressed that the quantum leap witnessed by Egypt in various development sectors reflects the strong will of Egypt, with its governmental and popular components, to achieve sustainable development and offer real investment opportunities to its international partners.
"The strategic relations between the two countries are the real umbrella of supporting efforts aimed to develop joint cooperation in various economic fields," he added.
The heads of German companies, meanwhile, said the meeting was a great opportunity to discuss means of promoting economic relations between Egypt and their country.
They also praised President Sisi for his periodic follow-up of efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to overcome challenges facing German businessmen in Egypt.
They also welcomed intensifying cooperation ties with Egypt to achieve the common interests of both countries.
