NPA: 32 suspected COVID-19 cases at national press institutions underwent medical check-up

The National Press Authority (NPA) announced Saturday 13/06/2020 that up to 32 suspected coronavirus cases, affiliated to national press institutions, have been admitted to hospitals.

In a statement, the authority noted that some of these cases were remanded in hospitals for necessary tests, while others have been advised to self-isolate.

Seven of the announced cases are from Al Ahram Establishment, 6 from Al Akhbar newspaper, 3 from Dar Al Tahrir, 4 from Dar Al-Maaref, 2 from Dar Al-Hilal, 7 from Rosa al-Yusuf and one case from MENA.

The authority reiterated the importance of strictly applying all anti-coronavirus precautionary measures, such as making face masks mandatory indoors, barring entry to individuals not wearing them, taking employees' temperatures by digital thermometers and ensuring disinfection operations are adequately carried out.

It also underlined the need to immediately and transparently inform board chairmen of any suspected cases or passive behaviors in this regard.
