Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed has checked on measures taken as part of a healthcare plan for the secondary school final year exams (Thanaweya Amma) and technical secondary schools’ examinations.
The plan has been developed in coordination with all relevant sectors at the health ministry and in full coordination with undersecretaries of the Ministry of Education in all governorates; in order to ensure the safety of students, teachers and exams supervisors during the exams period.
This came during a video conference meeting held Friday among the minister, the health ministry undersecretaries across Egypt, and representatives of sectors tasked with implementing the ministry’s healthcare plan.
Zayed asserted her ministry’s full readiness for exams, noting that medical teams would be present at exam venues to follow up the health conditions of students, make sure all sterilization and disinfection processes have been carried out, and ensure that protective supplies are available.
Some 650,000 students are due to begin their Thanaweya Amma exams on June 21.
