Head of the National Election Authority (NEA) Lashin Ibrahim has stressed that all participants involved in the Senate elections have to wear facemasks during voting at home.
Ibrahim said on Saturday 8/8/2020 that the NEA obliged all heads of subcommittees, secretaries of polling stations, representatives of candidates, media professionals and members of civil society organizations to stick to wear the facemasks with the adoption of social distancing to curb the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The authority will provide facemasks before the polling stations during the Senate elections, slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, he said.
The NEA also decided to make sterilization processes for the polling stations one day before the voting and after the end of voting in the first and second day of the election.
