President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered to continue in supporting handmade crafts under the State’s plan to improve small and medium-sized industries to create more jobs.
Under this plan, the annual exhibition of handicrafts and traditional industries is set to be held this year amid the adoption of necessary precautionary measures to curb the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Sisi also directed to establish industrial parks across the nation to shore up economic development with a view to bridging the gap between exports and imports and deepening horizons of partnership with the private sector on this score.
Sisi’s directives were made on Thursday August 13, during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea.
The meeting reviewed developments related to the establishment of industrial parks nationwide and efforts to improve traditional handicrafts, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Gamea shed light on progress in the implementation of industrial park projects in 12 governorates.
