The Egyptian Embassy in Lebanon has delivered two tons of medical and surgical aid offered by Cairo to Beirut Governmental Hospital.
The move comes in light of the constant support that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed the government to urgently provide to the Lebanese people to help it overcome the repercussions of the massive deadly explosion that rocked Beirut’s port about 10 days ago.
In press statements on Friday, Egyptian Ambassador in Beirut Yasser Elwi asserted Egypt’s keenness to provide all forms of support to Lebanon in the wake of the recent devastating blast.
The aid Cairo offers to the Lebanese people via the relief airlift includes medications, medical and surgical supplies and foodstuffs that contain large quantities of wheat; with the aim of compensating for what has been lost in the aftermath of the explosion.
