Egypt, Belarus seek to boost bilateral cooperation -- Military Production Ministry

Engineer / Mohamed Ahmed Morsy, Minister of State for Military Production, held a meeting with five Belarusian companies through the video conference in the presence of his excellency Sergei Terentyev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt, to discuss ongoing topics of cooperation and means to take them to next level in the areas of joint industrialization.
During the meeting, Minister Morsy expressed an interest in boosting bilateral cooperation and coordination between Egyptian military production companies and units and Belarusian companies to produce high-quality equipment at competitive prices in many civilian fields; such as the cooperation between MAZ Plant and Helwan Company for Machinery and Equipment (Factory 999) in manufacturing MAZ trucks, the cooperation between the Broska Ahromach and (Factory 999) in manufacturing agricultural equipment and the cooperation between the Belarusian Amkador Company and (Factory 200) in manufacturing heavy equipment, and the cooperation between SelenergoProm company and (Factory 999) in producing of grain storage silos. His excellency, Minister Morsy stressed that the outlook is to localize such industries in cooperation with international and Egyptian manufacturing authorities, headed by the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the industrial ministries, as well as Egyptian private sector.
Spokesperson and media advisor to the Ministry of Military Production Mr. Mohamed Eid Bakr stated that the Ministry of Military Production is keen on developing cooperation with Belarusian companies in various fields by exploiting available modern capabilities to develop civil and military industries. He also pointed out that the companies with which the meeting was held are "Amkador - Minsk Motors - Minsk Tractors - Maz - SelenergoProm ".
His excellency Mr. Sergey Terentyev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt, expressed his confidence in the potentials of The Ministry of Military Production and its affiliate companies and what they possess of industrial, technological and technical assets that have proven successful through existing cooperation with a number of Belarusian companies. Such potentials and capabilities encourage other companies to form more partnerships in order to deepen industrialization in areas of common interest. He highlighted his interest in cooperation in various fields on top of which comes technology transfer and training to establish a long-term partnership. Terentyev praised the role of The Ministry of Military Production in supporting and encouraging investment in Egypt and in the consolidation of distinguished relations that connects Egypt and the Republic of Belarus.
The representatives of Belarusian companies praised the close cooperation with the companies and units of military production in various fields; especially modern technology transfer and the efforts exerted to establish a long-term partnership in order to further expand cooperation in new areas with the aim of increasing and deepening the Belarusian industrial technology in Egypt and working to increase the proportion of the local component.Source: Ministry of Military Production
