Military Production Minister, Italian Envoy mull joint cooperation

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi met on Wednesday 16/9/2020 with Italian Ambassador in Cairo Giampaolo Cantini at the ministry’s headquarters and discussed pushing forward cooperation between the Italian companies and their Egyptian counterparts in the fields of joint manufacturing.

Morsi said the meeting touched on the necessity of continuing and developing cooperation between both sides in the military and civilian industries fields as per the latest technologies.
The minister invited Italian technical delegations to visit the military production companies to get acquainted with their technological and human capabilities and identify prospects of cooperation.
The two sides tackled the latest developments as regards cooperation between the military production companies and the Italian ones in various manufacturing fields, agreeing on boosting the “cooperation wheel” between them in the coming period, ministry spokesman Mohamed Eid Bakr said.
Meanwhile, the Italian envoy hailed the role played by the Egyptian Military Production Ministry in supporting and encouraging investment in Egypt, highlighting distinguished relations binding between Cairo and Rome which he said have been developed in the past few years.
Cantini voiced the keenness of many Italian companies in establishing joint industrial projects with Egypt
Hailing the investment climate in Egypt as attractive, Cantini said that Egypt is one of the promising markets worldwide, enabling the country to act as a hub for entering Africa’s and the world’s markets.
