Wali meets Egypt's new envoy in Vienna

Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Ghada Wali had a meeting with Egypt's new Ambassador to Austria and its representative at international organizations Mohamed Elmolla as he submitted his credentials to the UN in Vienna.
During the meeting, Elmolla asserted Egypt’s full support to Wali and her efforts to upgrade work at the UNODC and achieve a qualitative leap in the support provided by the office to the countries, particularly the African ones, according to sources at the Egyptian embassy in Vienna.
Elmolla said that Egypt seeks to develop bilateral cooperation with the UNODC as well as trilateral cooperation with Africa to combat terrorism, organized crime, drugs and corruption at both national and regional levels.
Meanwhile, Wali affirmed that the UNODC will closely coordinate and cooperate with Egypt’s permanent mission in Vienna in the coming stage to benefit from Cairo’s experiences as regards the work fields of the UN office in order to achieve the joint goals in this regard.
She also voiced her keenness to enhance joint action between Cairo and all UN bodies in Vienna in all fields.
