Sisi directs to name new axis in Cairo after ex-Japanese PM Shinzo Abe

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed to implement a new axis that links El Shahid Axis with Suez Road and to be named after former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi said.
This came during Sisi’s meeting with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el Far, Head of the Engineering Authority’s Consulting Office Khaled Bakry and Head of Armed Forces Military Engineering Department Abdel Aziz El-Feqqi.
The meeting discussed the latest development concerning the establishment of new roads and axes in Cairo, especially in the districts of Nasr City and Gesr el Suez, linking Adly Mansour Metro Station with Cairo International Airport (CIA), development of lands in the surroundings of CIA as well as a number of national projects nationwide.
The president also reviewed the new designs of the civil universities expected to be established soon in various governorates as well as the latest developments concerning establishing a number of projects in the new administrative capital and Galala city.
The president also reiterated the need for implementing highest standards in the urban designing, increasing of green areas as well as expansion of main roads and their lanes.
