Armed Forces destroy 146 farms of opium, cannabis in S. Sinai

The Egyptian Border Guards Forces, along with the third-field army, and police troops have destroyed 146 farms for planting opium, cannabis and other narcotics in South Sinai during September.

This came as part of the efforts of the Armed Forces and security forces to fight the drugs dealers, traffickers and criminals in the mountainous places in South Sinai.

They managed to seize 175 kilograms of powedered cannabis, 141 tons of bango, 530 kilograms of bango seeds, 1155 of opium seeds, as well as tons of other narcotics.

The forces also seized two balances used for weighing narcotics and unlicensed motorbike.
