PM tours Faculty of Science of Fisheries in Kafr el Sheikh

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, flanked by the ministers of higher education and scientific research, local development, health and population, housing, transport and agriculture, toured on Tuesday the Faculty of Science of Fisheries in Kafr El Sheikh.

Madbouli listened to a detailed report from Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on the establishment of the faculty and its importance to Kafr El Sheikh governorate which produces 40 percent of Egypt's fish.

The minister said the state is interested in establishing such faculties to develop the fishing industry and meet the needs of citizens of animal proteins and also to help overcome unemployment.

For his part, the dean of the faculty Ibrahim al Hawary said the faculty is supplied with the most modern technology in the field of fishing pointing out that the faculty's students will be well trained on the latest fishing technology.
