Diaa Rashwan mourns the Dean of Foreign Correspondents in Egypt

Diaa Rashwan, chairman of State Information Service (SIS), mourned the Dean of Foreign Correspondents in Egypt, , Chairman of the Foreign Press Association (FPA), who passed away late on Monday, October 19, 2020, at the age of 83, at Wadi El-neel Hospital after a long struggle with illness. Rashwan added that the great deceased spent nearly 60 years in Egypt, during which he practiced his journalistic work efficiently, honestly and competently. This was appreciated by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi who awarded him the Order of Merit (1 class).
SIS Chairman announced that he and all the staff at the Press Center for Foreign Correspondents, led by the General Director, Muhammed Imam, extend condolences to the family of the deceased, all colleagues of accredited foreign correspondents in Egypt, and all Egyptian journalists and media men, who consider the deceased a model in professionalism, ethics, and honesty.
