No antidote for hate, racism but human fraternity: Tayyeb

Human fraternity is the only effective antidote for hate and racism plaguing the world, said Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb said on Tuesday 20/10/2020.
Fraternity as an antidote should imply accepting others, ensuring their safety and rejecting discrimination based on differences, the grand imam added while addressing the international meeting "No One is Saved Alone – Peace and Fraternity" which took place in Rome today.
One of the leaders of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity delivered Tayyeb's speech on his behalf.
The meeting, which was called by the Community of Saint’Egidio in Rome, saw Head of Catholic Church Pope Francis, President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Founder of the Community of Saint’Egidio Andréa Riccardi.
