NEA activates hotline for House elections' inquiries

The National Elections Authority has activated a hotline service (19826) to receive complaints and inquiries about the House of Representatives' elections, NEA Head Lashin Ibrahim said in a statement Friday 23/10/2020.
An operation room is formed to follow up the polling process around-the-clock, he added.
Polling stations will open their doors to voters in 14 governorates all over Egypt on Saturday morning for the first stage of the new parliamentary elections.
Almost 4,000 individual candidates and eight coalition lists are competing over 568 seats in this election. Half the seats will be filled through the individual candidacy system and the rest through lists.
The 14 governorates which vote on Saturday and Sunday in the first stage are Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, El-Wadi El-Gedid, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, Red Sea, Alexandria, Beheira and Marsa Matrouh.
According to NEA, 10,240 polling stations will be open during this stage.
