Egypt, South Sudan ink coop. protocol on higher education

Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar signed on Saturday 24/10/2020 a cooperation protocol with South Sudanese Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Gabriel Changson at the ministry's premises.
In a statement, the protocol stipulates that the Egyptian professors and researchers can teach at South Sudan's universities in English and partake in conducting joint researches.
Under the protocol, Egyptian students, who obtained scholarships from South Sudan, are exempted from the fees.
The Higher Education Ministry will offer 400 scholarships annually to its South Sudanese counterpart.
The two sides agreed on exchanging short-term scholarships at the two countries' universities and research centers as well as holding training courses and conferences.
They agreed on exchanging expertise in the field of manufacturing equipment of the labs and workshops in addition to equipping the South Sudanese universities.
