Sisi follows up status of development projects in Siwa, North Delta

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi followed up the status of Siwa Oasis development projects, the protection and development of the coasts of the North Delta and Port Said, as well as the establishment of agricultural wastewater treatment plants with the aim of providing access to irrigation water.
This came during Sisi’s meeting on Wednesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati, Minister of Housing Assem el Gazzar, Minister of Agriculture El Sayed el Quseir, chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ehab el Far, and head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Ahmed el Shazly.
The meeting touched on the development efforts exerted by the irrigation and agriculture sectors, as well as by other bodies concerned as regards several projects across the country, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
President Sisi was briefed on the efforts meant to establish the infrastructure of national projects, particularly those related to the development of Siwa Oasis.
In this regard, Sisi directed the ministers and officials to ensure that the development of Siwa Oasis is carried out within a comprehensive and radical framework that preserves its distinctive heritage character and develops the unique tourist destination’s lakes, wells and natural water springs.
During the meeting, the president also followed up the latest developments of some projects of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and those carried out at the New Administrative Capital, especially the Diplomatic District.
