Anany: Egypt keen to revive path of Holy Family

Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany said on Saturday 7/11/2020 the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry pays great attention to reviving the path of the Holy Family to Egypt.
Addressing a celebration of displaying a documentary film entitled "The Holy Family Path" on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Anany stressed that the Holy Family journey to Egypt is religiously and historically important for the Egyptians.
Anany pointed out that the Supreme Council of Antiquities is working on renovating the archaeological sites located along the path and improving the efficiency of the roads leading to them in cooperation with the Local Development Ministry.
He noted that the ministry formed a committee of experts to prepare a file to be submitted to the UNESCO to put the path on the World Heritage List.
The minister underlined that the documentary film would be a promotional tool to raise awareness among Egyptians and tourists as well about the importance of the Holy Family journey.
Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese, Immigration Minister Nabila Makram, and foreign ambassadors attended the event.
