Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed stressed Saturday 28/11/2020 that the ministry's role in national projects is not only limited to financial appropriations.
Rather, the ministry is committed to following up on these projects to identify any workflow barriers and provide all necessary support to remove them.
The minister's remarks were made in a statement released after a ministry's delegation led by Head of the Infrastructure Sector at the Ministry Mohamed Farid paid an inspection tour of some drinking water and sewage projects under way in Port Said, Damietta and Ismailia governorates.
Saeed noted that the total value of water and sewage projects has amounted to EGP 1.056 billion in Port Said, EGP 473.2 million in Damietta and EGP 635 million in Ismailia.
The three-day tour was carried out in pursuance of the minister's directives to regularly follow up the progress of the projects that have a social and environmental dimension and a direct effect on citizens' health, in line with the goals outlined in Egypt Vision 2030.
