Egyptian, Greek defense ministers probe regional, int'l developments

Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki held on Thursday 03/12/2020 an expanded meeting with his Greek counterpart Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, during which the two sides discussed the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Panagiotopoulos’s several-day official visit to Egypt, which coincides with the Medusa 10 military exercise, currently held in Egypt with the participation of Egyptian, Greek and Cypriot forces.
The two ministers discussed several files of common interest, in light of the current military cooperation between Cairo and Athens, in addition to the expertise exchange among their armies.
During the meeting, Zaki said the Armed Forces General Command is keen to bolster cooperation and partnership with Greece in various military and security fields.
Meanwhile, the Greek minister said Cairo-Athens relations are witnessing progress in all fields, lauding Egypt’s effective role at the regional and international levels in helping achieve security and stability in the Middle East.
