In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Your Excellency, Dear Friend, President Emmanuel Macron,
I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude for the generous invitation, the kind hospitality and the warm welcome that were shown to me during my visit to the great French Republic. Furthermore, this morning, we held constructive and fruitful talks which clearly reflect the uniqueness of bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the French Republic.
Your great country and friendly people hold a special place in the hearts of all Egyptians, as our two peoples co-share mutual cultural and civilizational legacy along ages.
The French great fondness for the ancient Egyptian civilization has increasingly contributed to entrenching relations of cordiality, friendship, cooperation, as well as realizing Egyptian-French convergence on common goals, visions and interests. This has particularly appeared since the renowned French scientist, Champollion, succeeded in deciphering the ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics, two hundred years ago.
The distinguished relations that bind our two countries are manifested by the existing cooperation between the various Egyptian and French institutions, topped by the fields of economy, trade, investment, education, transportation, defense and security. These fields represent a solid basis for the strong relationships binding us together.
Undoubtedly, the enormous challenges facing the world nowadays, foremost of which are the phenomena of violence, extremism, hatred of others, intolerance, racism and contempt for religions, impose upon our two countries, thanks to their civilizational and cultural weight, great burdens for cooperation to confront these negative phenomena. It also makes it incumbent on both countries to co-work to promote the values of tolerance, moderation and acceptance of others; all of which are values we are in a dire need to spread them and supported in the world now more than ever.
My visit to your friendly country represents an important opportunity to exchange views, not only on ways to promote the bilateral cooperation relations, but also to coordinate positions towards various regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Perhaps the convergence of views in our talks reiterates our political will to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and France. It also gives an impetus forward to meet the ambitious aspirations of our two friendly peoples. This has been particularly achieved as this partnership has become the hallmark of the outstanding and fruitful march of cooperation for decades until it has become a commendable institutional effort, which we hailed its firm establishment and steadfastness.
In conclusion, l would like to greet you, Mr. President, once again for the constant keenness to enhance common coordination as well as to develop all bilateral aspects of cooperation. I wish you every success and the brotherly French People more security and prosperity.
Thank You Very Much
