The videoconferencing meeting, held on Monday, also considered the most important aspects of the structural reform program of the national economy in the presence of Tarek Amer, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The premier tasked the members of the economic group with studying the structural reforms program and making their notes to be discussed later, in addition to announcing the program in a press conference to be held in the coming period.

Mait added that the total deficit of the general budget hit about EGP 171 billion, representing 2.6 percent of the GDP against a total deficit of EGP 180 billion, by 3.1 percent of GDP during the same period one year earlier.
