Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that President Sisi directed the bodies concerned to get acquainted with the village residents' needs, requirements and opinions about developing their villages.
Sisi ordered that this project include regulating the distribution of government premises that offer services in governorates and villages, and linking them with ministries in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting reviewed details of the executive steps taken as part of the project's first phase that aims to upgrade 1,500 villages across the country, Rady said.
The development process targets improving the infrastructure of these villages, as well as the services offered there, such as health, education and social programs, he added.
