Sudan keen to benefit from Egypt's industrial experience

Sudanese Trade and Industry Minister Madani Abbas Madani said his country seeks to make the best use of Egypt's experience in industry and industrialization as a key driver for economic development.
Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Neveen Gamea arrived here on Wednesday, leading a high-level delegation on a several days' visit to Sudan, where she will take part in the 38th International Fair of Khartoum, which will be held in the Sudanese capital on January 21-28.
Upon arrival at Khartoum International Airport, Gamea was received by Madani and a number of the ministry's officials along with Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum Hossam Eissa and the embassy staff.
The Sudanese minister welcomed Gamea's visit, which reflects continuous relations and strong trade and economic ties between Cairo and Khartoum.
He noted that several bilateral meetings will be held to discuss ways of developing industrial and trade relations between the two countries, as will take part in the fair as a guest of honor.
Gamea will chair the first meeting of the Egyptian-Sudanese Business Council after re-formation for probing how to boost cooperation between the private sectors in Egypt and Sudan.
Gamea is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with her Sudanese counterpart in the field of micro and small-sized enterprises.
