Egypt, Sudan sign MoU on developing small-sized projects

Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea signed a memorandum of understanding with Sudanese Minister of Industry and Trade Madany Abbas on establishing a joint working group between the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency and the Sudanese Industry and Trade Ministry.
The agreement is aimed at boosting cooperation and transfer expertise to develop small-sized projects in the two countries, especially in the field of handmade and craft industries.
In press statements on Saturday 23/01/2021, Gamea said the memo aims at boosting cooperation and exchanging economic and development experience between Egypt and Sudan in order to carry out integrated programs aimed at developing this vital sector.
This sector offers job opportunities to youth and has great potential of marketing and competition at both local and international markets, she added.
The memorandum calls for offering all forms of financial and technical support to owners of these projects and honing their skills, she added.
