President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has underlined the necessity of rallying up all efforts of the state and citizens to change conditions in Egyptian villages for the best.
Sisi was speaking following Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli's speech during the inauguration of El Fayrouz fish farming project in East of El Tafreah in Port Said Governorate on Saturday.
Sisi said the development project of 1,500 villages is just the start as phase one, adding the project aims at developing all villages in the country.
He said there is dire need of rallying up all efforts including civil society organizations and the government and citizens as well.
All the country’s segments, whether government, NGOs, media men, and preachers, should pay special focus on the issue of the population growth, which dwarfs all the efforts of development.
We previewed the development of Egypt in the past 150 years, which shed light on the shrinking improvement rates that attributed to the population growth, Sisi said.
The President said that the project of developing 1500-4500 villages aims at solving all the problems of the rural areas in Egypt and making an end to the encroachment practices for good.
We are working hard to solve all the problems, existing in the rural areas, such as the electricity infrastructure to end the issue of the illegal and unpermitted construction and building, he added.
