Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin Khaled Galal Abdel Hamid has said German airline Condor has decided to increase its flights to Hurghada as of March.

The ambassador told MENA correspondent in Berlin that the German airline already ferried 220 passengers from Frankfurt to Hurghada recently and will increase its flights as of March.

Abdel Hamid said the flights will take place in coordination with the ministries of tourism and health.

He said the increase of flights to Hurghada is part of a strategy by the Ministry of Tourism to launch a safe passage between Germany and the Red Sea's tourist destinations.

The diplomat said the number of German tourists who visited Egypt in 2019 reached 1.8 million.
