The Interior Ministry on Friday announced it took legal measures against 12,567 persons for not wearing face masks.

As many as 560 violations of shop-closure decisions were also detected, said the ministry in a statement.

The move falls within the framework of the cabinet's decision on taking all needed preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, the statement added.
