Sisi directs govt to promote development cooperation with int'l bodies

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to promote development cooperation with international bodies in order to maximize the benefits of achieving comprehensive development in various sectors, especially with regard to the activation of a joint cooperation platform meant to support the national project for upgrading Egyptian villages.
The move was taken during President Sisi’s meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat.
The meeting touched on the efforts exerted by the Ministry of International Cooperation in accordance with the State strategy to maximize cooperation with international financial institutions and partners in different national development projects, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
During the meeting, Mashat reviewed the most significant efforts related to development cooperation with international partners; with a view to mobilizing all forms of necessary support for ongoing major development projects in various sectors, most notably the national project for upgrading Egyptian villages, and the associated development and service sectors, such as housing and utilities, agriculture, irrigation and water resources, as well as local development.
The minister also talked about a proposed action plan to expand a project for supporting rural communities and women.
