Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad met Tuesday with officials from Bee’ah, a leading environmental management company in the UAE, to discuss a plan of action and expansion prospects in Egypt.
Fouad expressed hope that Bee’ah would succeed in managing the waste system in the New Capital.
She said her Ministry is willing to offer all technical support needed to conduct an awareness campaign as part of a “Beautiful Egypt” national program to manage wastes.
Bee’ah officials reviewed their previous success stories in the field of waste management inside the UAE.
Adel al Zamiti, the director general of Bee’ah, tackled a plan of action in Egypt’s New Capital, noting that a contract had already been signed between the two sides.
Work is set to start as early as this month, Zamiti said, adding that his company already secured most of the equipment and vehicles used in collecting garbage and cleaning streets.
