Sisi: Egypt seeks upgrading relations with Portugal

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday said that Egypt is looking forward to upgrading relations with Portugal.
At a meeting in Paris with Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa, the president lauded the current Portuguese presidency of the European Union and its efforts for supporting African issues, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.
The Portuguese prime minster expressed his appreciation for the friendly relations and cooperation between his country and Egypt.
He underlined keenness of his country to enhance bilateral relations in all fields.
Portugal is supporting efforts made by Egypt for achieving economic development, he said, adding that Egypt became a model example for stability and development.
The two leaders discussed the recent developments in the region along with means of boosting joint cooperation.
