Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli Tuesday inspected a project to upgrade and expand the Ring Road around the Delta city of Mansoura.
The Ring Road connects the Gamaa Bridge and the Minyet Sandoub Bridge.
During his visit to Mansoura, the premier also visited the site of an overpass that is being constructed to connect the Corniche Walk here with Talkha Corridor.
The two projects are estimated to cost some 450 million pounds.
Work is also underway to bring a 50-kilometer Mansoura-Gamasa road up to code at a total cost of 1.268 million pounds.
Madbouli was pleased with efforts to implement all road and bridge projects with the aim to ease the movement of citizens and cargo. This is the main pillar of development plans in the country in this stage, the prime minister noted.
Utmost effort should be exerted to easily offer services to citizens in this city, Madbouli directed.
At the end of his tour, the premier inspected work to improve the efficiency of a 90-kilometer international coast road (Damietta-Gamasa-New Mansoura-Balteem).
Madbouli was accompanied by Minister of Housing Assem el Gazzar, Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir and governor of Daqahliya Ayman Mokhtar.
He ordered action to get rid of garbage piles and remove waste from the streets of Daqahliya, stressing this is important for the safety and health of residents.
